Club Directors,
We have used the fall Junior Director’s Meeting as a way to get information to your clubs and get input for SRVA Board considerations.  We have heard that since this meeting is not in the heat of the season, it does not always lend itself well to getting and giving feedback.  So in an attempt to better serve the Junior community, we are planning on having periodic online meetings.  The first online meeting will be on January 23, 2019 at 8:00 pm EST.  This online conference will be audio with screen share so we can demonstrate online features as needed.  The duration is limited to 40 minutes.  This time has been selected to follow normal dinner time even thought it may conflict with some club practices.  If you have a better suggestion for the time that would benefit all clubs, please let us know.  Below is the general agenda for this first meeting and the information for joining the session.
Agenda – Registration for SRVA 18 Bid and Regional Championships,  How did the 5 day tryout policy work for you and your club?, and Time for Questions and Comments.

SRVA offers an electronic entry process to enter teams into SRVA indoor junior tournaments –
see Club Director Instructions, located under the “SRVA Online” tab on our website, regarding how to
enter your teams into SRVA tournaments.
Tournament hosts may pre-register teams from their club into the tournament(s) they host.
Hosts must contact Brenda McIntosh PRIOR to the opening of team tournament entries to pre-register
their “host” teams.

SRVA Adult and Professional Officials Clinics are now available.

This season the officiating training materials are now a members only benefit, and as such, are available only through the USAV Academy.

Here are the things you need to know about this:

  1. A current, full member can log into Webpoint and click on the red Academy login button and jump right to the Academy. Members can register for and access our entire Academy library by clicking Course Catalog.
  2. VERY IMPORTANT: Please remember that the first step in accessing modules is for users to register for clinics in Webpoint. Only after that registration will users find content in the Academy.
  3. There will be two tracks for indoor officiating in the Catalog – For Credit and Not-for Credit. The For Credit versions give the user credit for viewing coursework. The Non-for Credit versions are for reference only to allow someone to quickly look up a piece of information.
  4. VERY IMPORTANT: You will always access the SRVA Officials Curriculum Courses  by logging into Webpoint and then clicking Log into USAV Academy (on the left nav menu, when they register for a clinic, and a few other places in Webpoint).
  5. By following this procedure, you will not need a separate transaction to log into the Academy and their Academy ID will always be synched with their Webpoint credentials.

VolleyballRefTraining.com will continue to be an important officiating resource, with information about rules, interpretations, officiating opportunities, applications, and the like.

  1. Go to https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/
  2. Log in to your USAV account
  3. In the navigation menu, click on USAV Clinics and select USAV Coaching Clinics
  4. Select: Core Center for SafeSport Training
  5. Complete registration
